Sponsored Accounts:
Visiting Scholars, temporary workers, and other guests may require access to McCombs resources from time to time. For these occasions a "Sponsored Account" can be created to provide the required access for a fixed length of time. Sponsored Accounts require the approval of a Dean or Department Chair and can be requested using this form.
Network Access For Visitors
Sponsored Guests (such as official visitors, conference attendees, lecturers, etc.) use Guest Network IDs provided by a host or sponsor to log in to the University wireless network and public wired network connections. This temporary user name and password combination enables you to connect to the "Guest.Utexas.Edu" wireless network using your network-equipped laptop or PDA device.
If you want to sponsor a Guest ID for a visitor, contact Computer Services Technical Support or you can request Guest Network ID's online.
