Why Join UT Grad Rugby?

·         We're a real club - We don't just give you a free T-shirt and then meet once a month to listen to some speaker.
·         The team plays in a competitive league and plays to win. Where else can you get this amount of adrenalin pumping other than on The Apprentice?
·         Recruiters dig it - many are rugby alums, and know what it's like to be part of the UT Grad Rugby Team.
·         Actually make friends not in your cohort and not in the business school. The team is becoming more diverse, with students from the engineering and arts schools, and getting stronger as a result.
·         Key advice from all the 2nd-years.
·         Compete against the top B-Schools in the world at T-Bird and Duke. Kick some Harvard butt.
·         Ruggers like to drink beer and party.
·         Stay in shape - If you don't have a reason to work out, you're not gonna make it over to Gregory very often.
·         Enjoy the Austin weather - Remember, you came to Texas, not Philadelphia, New York, or Chicago.

This is Ross showing the opposition how to play running rugby.

Lame Excuses Not To Join:

·         I am out of shape - So are the rest of us. We're in grad school, not high school. That is what practice is for.
·         I don't have time - If you can't find two hours to come out and run around in the beautiful Austin outdoors, you are taking school way too seriously and are at risk of "going postal."
·         I am not real athletic guy - Who do we look like? Deion Sanders or Michael Jordan?
·         I've never played rugby before - Neither have some of us. Rugby isn't rocket science. You’ll pick it up quickly with great coaching.
·         Rugby is too rough - It ain't a tea party, but we aren't playing pro football either.
