Training

Please visit our official home page at www.utgradrugby.com for any additional information.

Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7pm at the Intramural Fields at 51st and Guadalupe.  Although we primarily recruit from the graduate schools at UT, all are welcome to come train with us.  The field we train on changes, so don't give up if you don't see us right away.

Fridays following practice the team adjourns to a local drinking establishment for the hallowed tradition of Masters on Happy Hour (MOHH). We go sweaty and muddy, and are adored by women near and far.

Matches

Home games are usually held at the IM Fields and Burr Field, on the east side of Austin (see directions below). Games are usually on Saturdays at 2pm.

From South Austin
Go north on I-35 to the M.L.King exit. Turn right (east) on MLK and proceed past Airport Blvd. to Hwy 183 also called Ed Bluestein Blvd. Turn left (north) on Hwy 183 and go past the first red light (YMCA) to the second red light which is Loyola Lane. Turn right (east) onto Loyola Lane.

From North Austin
Go south on Hwy 183, stay on 183 past Hwy 290 and over Manor Road. The first red light past Manor Road is Loyola Lane. Turn left (east) on Loyola.

Once you're on Loyola Lane
The road will dip downwards for about 50 yards, then turn to the right and you will go over a little concrete bridge (Walnut Creek). Immediately after the bridge (and we mean immediately), there is a dirt road on your right with a tatty, old sign for Austin Rugby. It is a bumpy dirt road and it will take you all the way to the club house (about 3/4 of a mile).

In really wet weather, it may well be an option to park outside the dirt road and get a lift into the fields with a pickup or SUV since getting stuck in the mud is a possibility.
