1. Actions To Take After You Arrive On Campus

Below are important steps to take once you arrive on the UT campus.

  1. Connect to the Wireless Network (restricted.utexas.edu)
  2. If necessary, install additional software. Go to the McCombs COE website for downloading Decision Tools.  Go to Bevoware to download other optional software.
   

 

 

2. Where To Go For Tech Help

There are four places for you to go for Tech Help: the McCombs SWAT Shop, the McCombs Millennium Lab Help Desk, the ITS Help Desk, and the McCombs Technology Training Team.  Below is a description of each, list of what problems each solves, and how to contact each.

Before visiting the SWAT Shop, it is recommended you backup your important files.  The SWAT Shop can help you with:

  • Resetting your McCombs Account (ie, your MSB Account)
  • Connecting to the wireless network
  • Answering any tech questions you have

 

 

McCombs Millennium Lab

The Millennium Lab can help with:

  • Resetting your McCombs Account password (ie, your MSB Account)
  • Printing within the McCombs School of Business building (but not the rest of the UT campus)

 

 

ITS Help Desk

Before visiting the ITS Help Desk, it is recommended you backup your important files.  The ITS Help Desk can help you with:

  • Resetting your UT EID password or answering any other UT EID questions
  • Solving any login problems to UT's Blackboard
  • Connecting to the UT wireless network
